I may be done. I have half a post written and then I got sick and have been on the couch the past few days. I don't know why in my right mind I thought I'd have more time once Cayden was out of school because while it means no pick up or drop off, it means all day with four kids. Quite frankly, I just don't have the drive any more to do it. I realize I'm letting people down, but frankly it's just not getting done.
Part of me wants to take another break until this winter, when I should have more time once Cayden is in kindergarten and Eli starts preschool. But I've taken breaks before and to be honest even after the break things haven't gotten better.
So basically all I can say is keep checking back but I'm not making any promises.
I really enjoy your writing and your family updates, but understand completely about time constraints. Even if you aren't able to write often, please post an update when you can so we know you are doing okay.
ReplyDeleteI will be disappointed if you go because yours is definitely the best written blog that I currently read and I hang out for it because I like the story and writing so much. But understand how tough life can get and how busy, leaving little to no time to do the things you like to do and certainly not leaving you feeling motivated to do them. It is sad when you feel like a passion is actually a burden.
ReplyDeleteI truly hope to check back in one day soon and see your feeling the passion for your writing again.
Good luck :)
Once you find your mojo and more time come back. In the mean time, try and check in every week or two just so we know how you're doing. If you can, that is. Take care. Enjoy your boys! mum
ReplyDeleteYours is the only one I read but take care of the kids! We will miss you girl!!! (Does anyone know any other blogs I can get addicted too??)

This isn't a fictional blog but if you watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette she does a recap that is frickin hilarious. I don't even watch the show but I still read her recaps.

ReplyDeleteI can't say I'm not disappointed to be left hanging in the middle of the story, but I do understand life happens. You can't always do what you plan to do when you plan to do it. I hope you do continue this one day to end it. I'd like to see what happens with Lanie and Matt, and if they go to Ella and Drew's wedding. or If they end up together. But if you can't finish, it, well. So be it. I wish you and your family well, and I will keep checking when I can.
ReplyDeletejust wanted to chime in. I totally get how this can be way too time consuming. I'll miss it, but you gotta spend time with your family. I'd personally love it if you just did a quick paragraph or two saying where you saw the story ending up so we can get a bit of closure. Would love to know where everyone ends up. You've written them so well I'm totally attached to the characters now! Hope you've had a wonderful summer.
ReplyDeleteI Hope everything it going good with you and your family! We are still here when you want to come back:)
ReplyDeleteJust checking in to let you know we are still here. Hope all is well with you and your boys!
